Cotton shrinks because of the tension applied to its yarn and fabrics during the construction of the clothing. This is why most cotton clothing will shrink during its first washing. The best way to avoid shrinkage is to wash them by hand or to use cold water and the delicate cycle of your washing machine.

2. Hand wash in warm water with the same color fabric
3. Use normal wash cycle and gentle detergent
4. Avoid using any harsh chemicals like bleach and fabric softener
5. Reshape while damp
6. Do not tumble dry
7. Warm iron if needed
